"As a very young couple, and we don't mean by age (we met just a few months before the pregnancy), we went through a lot in a very short period. It was, and still is, an amazing experience which we enjoy a lot as days go by, but besides our families and their support, the support we got from you was in some ways even more important to us.

In such an overwhelming situation, we had you as "our person" who is not a family member, nor a long known friend, but someone who was there for us to offer knowledge, support, a smile and positive vibes... all that in order to teach us how to welcome Chloe in the best way we can, not only in sense of medical care, breastfeeding, changing, bathing... but also as a mom and dad, as a couple, and more importantly, how to take care of each other in that process.

Everything you taught us was precious, but one of the things that definitely stood out for us was your non judgemental and open minded approach. Your care was tailored to our needs, our situation and approach to pregnancy. Before giving any advice, you always asked what was what we needed and wanted for us and Chloe. This was huge for us because we were still learning what we want and need as a couple, so you helped us think through that.

Thank you once again for all the knowledge you shared with us and all the support you provieded. You played a crucial role in our rollercoaster ride. Something like a safety belt :-)."

She is good at everything related with pregnancy, breastfeeding and baby care, including exercises for different periods, massages and mental support. "What I really appreciated about Marijke’s support was the fact while the well being of the babies was very important, she would never the less place the same emphasis on the well being of the mother! From both a physical and an emotional perspective. She gave me really nice massages and was my shoulder to cry on. I suffered a traumatic birthing experience, and after coming home from the hospital, my milk had stopped. Marijke came the same evening to my rescue and thanks to her, I can give my babies my breast milk!"

"Entering the third trimester, my entire body has started to hurt as my bump continues to grow and it becomes more uncomfortable every day. I thought I would try the Rebozo massage to help relieve not only my muscle aches, but also to help me relax. Mary artfully used the Rebozo to wrap different parts of my body, taking the pressure off of those body parts, and then gently jiggling them to loosen tension. My favorite part was when she lifted my bump, allowing her to hold the extra weight that I had been carrying for 30 weeks. I came away feeling relaxed, not only mentally, but also physically. I would highly recommend this massage for anyone feeling stressed or having body aches related to pregnancy."

"Marijke has been my long-distance pregnancy companion. I live in Peru and she lives in Italy so I shared all my questions, doubts, fears and moments of excitement with her through Whatsapp. There is nothing more comforting than someone who follows up your pregnancy from close by; a person who can give you the right advice at the right moment.

Marijke arrived in Lima two days before my son was born. When contractions started, she was there with me, and my partner. She has this amazing ability to make you feel at ease. She was very discreet, but she was there all the time, even during birth.

Once my son was born, I was lucky to have her close for another week. She was very caring, helping me out with whatever I needed, explaining me things I had questions about. She understood my “hormone cocktail” and its consequences. She was there for me. After she left, kept accompanying me from a distance.

I couldn’t have had a better birth companion!"
