Complete Pregnancy & Postpartum Preparation Package

This package offers a structured, step-by-step preparation journey that supports you from early pregnancy through birth and into the first weeks with your baby.

We work progressively through all key stages of this transition, combining in-depth preparation with continuous support and personalised postpartum care in your home.

It is designed for families who want to feel fully informed, prepared, and supported throughout the entire experience of pregnancy and early parenthood in Italy.

What’s included:

1. Prenatal intake

We begin with a comprehensive intake session to explore your medical history, previous birth experiences, emotional wellbeing, expectations, and any concerns you may have.

We also look at your current care pathway in Italy and your experience of navigating pregnancy as an expat family in a different healthcare system.

This allows me to fully understand your situation so we can build a personalised and structured preparation journey tailored to your needs.

2. Five-session birth & postpartum preparation programme (online or in-person)

These five sessions form a continuous preparation process, where each session builds on the previous one.

Instead of focusing only on individual questions, we gradually work through all essential aspects of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, adapting the content to your personal situation, preferences, and medical context.

Together, we cover topics such as:

Understanding the Italian maternity system
Preparing for labour and birth
Exploring options and making informed decisions
Comfort measures and coping strategies
Partner involvement and preparation
Emotional wellbeing during pregnancy
Preparing for recovery and postpartum life

This structured approach allows for deeper understanding, clearer decision-making, and a birth plan that evolves throughout the process.

My role is to complement the care you receive from your medical team by offering continuity, guidance, and personalised preparation throughout your journey.

3. Progressive birth plan development

Your birth plan is developed gradually throughout the preparation process, rather than in a single session.

We refine it step by step as your understanding grows, ensuring it reflects your wishes, priorities, and the realities of the Italian healthcare system.

This allows you to feel informed, confident, and prepared for different scenarios, with clear communication tools for your care team.

4. Ongoing message support

From the start of our work together until 6 weeks postpartum, you have access to ongoing support via message.

Questions and concerns don't always arise during appointments. Whether you need clarification after a medical consultation, reassurance during pregnancy, support while preparing for birth, or guidance in the early weeks with your baby, you can reach out whenever needed.

This continuity of support allows you to receive personalised guidance throughout your pregnancy and postpartum journey, without having to wait for the next scheduled session.

5. Three postpartum home visits

Following the birth of your baby, I offer three home visits during the first weeks postpartum.

These visits are scheduled according to your needs rather than at fixed moments. Depending on how you and your baby are doing, we can decide together when additional support would be most valuable.

The focus of each visit is tailored to your situation at that time and may include support with maternal recovery, emotional wellbeing, feeding, newborn care, adjustment to parenthood, processing the birth experience, or any questions and concerns that arise along the way.

The aim is to provide practical, emotional, and evidence-based support for both mother and baby during this important transition.
